Dinner at Cici's Pizza
Last night we had a night out as a family. Emily has been off baby food for some time now and I am still working on feeding her all the same things we are eating. Last night was the first time she picked up a slice of pizza and went to town with it. It was great to see! She just enjoyed herself. It is awesome to see her growing up and enjoying food. (Much like her Dad!~). Now that she has all those teeth, I feel more comfortable giving her different types of food. She loves dark meat chicken the best with Mac 'n Cheese coming in slightly ahead.

Emily Update
I though I would get started with an update on what Emily is up to these days.
STAIRS:
Emily has been going up for some time now. She has now mastered going down the stairs. It still scares me but not as much. She is becoming a real pro at it.
TEETH:
We thought she wasn't going to ever get any in. The Pediatrician said not to worry until she was 15 months and still toothless. Well at 13 months that first one popped out. Then 2 more quickly came. Now at almost 17 months she as 5 more popped thru. 4 of those being her first molars. I am really surprised she had taken them as easily as she has. There are a couple of more that are on their way to popping out soon. Before too much longer she will have a whole mouth full.
She is really excited to brush her teeth. I think she like the flavor of the toothpaste more than anything!
TALKING:
She is jabbering all the time now. Her vocabulary list is growing each day. She can say Mama, Dad, Em (for Emily), up, banana, apple, waffle, hi, bye-bye, go, ball, all done, and even this week she has learned Football and Baseball. She is working on Jesus, down, and milk. She even says some of her favorite songs: Ba Ba Black Sheep, eieio for Old MacDonald, Row Row Row your boat, and she shakes her head side to side for Wheels on the Bus. (Wipers go swish swish swish which I move my head from side to side.) She is pretty amazing to us.
BOOKS:
Emily loves looking at books and turning the pages. We try to read each morning. We have started going to storytime at the local library. She is doing good with learning to sit and pay attention. Hopefully she will continue to enjoy books and reading like I do.

Just Getting Started
Well we finally decided to start a Blog. We have friends and family far away and I think this will be easier to keep updated than e-mailing. Not that I don't LOVE e-mail, but we are all busy and it is hard sometimes to keep up with everything.
